Servicio Internacional para el intercambio juvenil (SIIJUVE) is a non-profit organization, legally established in Mexico, and which has been part of the International Federation of ICYE (International Cultural Youth Exchange) since 1986. ICYE has National Committees in 34 countries around the world.

Through Siijuve you will experience a new kind of intercultural learning experience, living for one year in another country, encouraging your social and occupational integration, and supporting the development of a local community project.

Siijuve’s structure:

1. National Assembly
2. Executive Committee (President, Treasurer, 1 Member)
3. National Office (Executive Director, Programme Coordinator)
4. Regional Committees (Mexico City, Toluca, Puebla, Tuxtla Gutiérrez)

The National Committee of Mexico is made up of volunteers. The National Committee meets once a year (in a National Assembly) in order to agree upon the direction which the committee will take during the following year, to elect the Executive Committee, and to staff the Executive Director in the National Office.

Siijuve A.C. (like ICYE and CSV of which it is part of) has the aim to break through the barriers of race, culture and religion between cultures and peoples.
Its goals are specifically:

1. To create, organize and develop short, mid and long term actions, in order to give young people the opportunity to live an intercultural learning experience.
2. Justice for all persons who suffer from social, political, economical and personal injustice.
3. To provide experiences that will encourage international and intercultural understanding.
4. To help participants become aware of the issues and problems which exist in the local and national communities so that they are better able to understand world-wide social, economic, and political issues and problems.
5. To encourage a commitment to act on these understandings both during the exchange year and beyond.
